Studying the masters- New York

I happened to be in New York and couldn't miss visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

While there I got to see one of my favorite artist's work: The Horse Fair (1853) by Rosa Bonheur.  It was very rare for women to be successful as artists at that time, but her persistence and talent were more powerful that the critics!  She ended up being a French celebrity and a guest to the Queen of England.

Human Subjects!

I took a brief break from the world of canines to attend my cousins wedding where I became official wedding photographer.  I did not tell the wedding guests that I was secretly a dog expert!

We got some really lovely photos during that day lovely summery day in Princeton.

Like owner like dog!

Teaching my 8 month old border collie  Splash! to paint after she painted our living room carpet blue with ultramarine acrylic paint!  I took it as a sign she was up for more creative things in her life!  Check out the video of her first painting lesson on youtube-  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6tU45GkwxM
